Over the years many sectors of the Nigerian economy has seen significant growth boom from the music industry to the fashion and the comedians inclusive.
The Nollywood industry benefited from these growth but none as significant as the above industries.
Kunle Afolayan recently released his trailer below, and has only managed to gain less than 20k views on YouTube and yet he is one of the most sort after producers in Nigeria.

The major challenge to this industry is Marketing and Distribution.
Iroko Tv with its international outlook have managed to make some fair contributions but this is not yet strong enough.

The solution lies with the Distrubutors, if we want to see any significant growth in this industry the distrbutors have to be the risk takers not the movie producers. Letss take a qeue from Netfix; the demographics data they have acess to they are able to determine what kind of movies the audience would like to see. Thus they are able to place bets on the movie producers to bring huge capital returns.
But as piracy will continue to plague the industry it is only fair we consider using Ads on screen to make up for the losses in movie purchases.
